I started reading Angels and Demons and came across the Illuminati ambigram. Being a seeker of knowledge, I googled and got the theory of how an ambigram is created. In an ambigram, one letter is rotated 180 degrees to give another letter. Thus, both the letters must be of the same size. The Ambimatic (Ambigram-matic) which is a generator has a database of (26*27)/2 = 351 glyphs where each letter is mapped to another. Due to the condition that the size must be equal, the quality of the ambigram was not good. This led to the creation of Glyphusion generator which has a database of 2,00,000 parts of letters!

Creating an ambigram : Take the first and last letters. Try to bring a connection between them such that when one letter is turned 180 degrees, it should resemble the other. Like this do it for all letters and put it together. Note : Try to make sure that the size of the letters should be similar.

There are many types of ambigrams out of which I found Perceptual shift ambigram very interesting. It depends on how you percieve the image. An image of the Wave-Particle duality of light done by Douglas Hofstadter can be seen below :

In one way it can be read as Light is a Particle, in another, it can be read as Light is a Wave!

After getting screwed many times by my brother, I finally decided to start this blog wanting to share the brighter side of my life to the world. So here we are, in my first post. I have no idea about what a blog is and nor what should I post. But just did it for the heck of it and in the hope that some people will benefit out of this. So that’s it for today folks. Cheerio!!
